An indescribable number of interpretations on fall’s fetish theme have emerged over the past few months, and it’s clear the theme isn’t going anywhere as we roll into 2012. Fine by me. It’s merged with other forms of fashion in such a way that those bondage elements that shouted their presence from the rooftops back in 2008-2009 are no longer shouting. They’re just there, subtle, soft even, but still with that tiny razor sharp edge.
This interpretation from Fashion Quarterly NZ has a look I want to wear, right away please: white wide leg pants and a stroppy cropped, harnessed top. There’s also other plays on the upcoming 2012 trends, like a pocketed apron skirt constructed of leather. In fact it’s barely a skirt, it’s more like a tool man’s belt only sexy.
