It’s the little things. You notice them and you notice this is a well thought-out campaign. It travels the path set by Proenza Schouler in their spring 2012 show, riffing on the 1950s with the tropical prints and retro colours, topping things off with a toned-down version of the messy rockabilly hairstyle that traversed the runway. Then there’s the shadowy edges and the cropped corners like a vintage postcard in a dusty album. But what seals the deal, what completes the picture, is the textured raffia backdrop and the mid-century furniture that references the same Jetsons-esque Googie aesthetic the designers sited as inspiration for the clothing.
Did we mention that Natasha Poly stars?
