Cinematic Jil Sander

Cinematic, in a word. Jil Sander’s spring 2012 campaign puts dark edges on a clean, bright collection; Hitchcock-like in its cracked drama. Each of Natasha Poly, Clément Chabernaud, Aiden Andrews and Daria Strokous peers out from a circle of broken glass and descends a dark staircase. The vintage-inspired shapes and faux bobbed hair of the collection’s styling only strengthen the air of mystery in Willy Vanderperre’s shots.
